I’m coming down from a busy tournament season at work and a weekend “mom” trip in the country. The boys and The Boss are busy with school and sports as usual. Rarely have we gotten the moment to relax and enjoy ourselves. This past weekend, we finally got our chance. Was it great to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life? Absolutely. But most importantly, we learned the value of appreciation every moment we have. The days are long, but the years move fast. Before we know it, our precious little children will be out of the house and raising families of their own!
We know have some baseball stars in the house! Our week was filled with practices and picture days and conditioning (Who knew kids could condition for little league?). Running around the diamond with the boys has become our new way of getting in some excerise-and the boys LOVE that we participate with them!
After returning from my trip, I was so happy to see the boys. It’s true that “absence makes the heart grow fonder” in that I looked forward to coming back to the hustle and bustle of the household. We spent the day shopping and playing video games together!
I know these are an old time favorite, but find some new ways to enjoy fun with the family here!
